Q. Where does the reading take place?
Readings are available in person, by phone, or over Zoom. Once the intention to connect for a reading has been established, the energetic exchange is already underway. There is no meaningful difference in the clarity or depth of a reading based on whether we are sitting together or connecting remotely.

Q. How should I prepare?
**For phone or online readings:**
Choose a quiet, private space where you are unlikely to be interrupted or feel observed. Your home, office, or even your car can work perfectly well. Be comfortable. Settle into a favorite chair, grab a blanket, light a candle, or have coffee, tea, or water nearby. Soft background noise, such as a fan or white noise, is also fine. The important thing is to create enough space to be fully present. Please do not drink alcohol or use recreational substances before or during your reading. Likewise, readings should not be combined with household chores, email, gaming, driving, or other activities that divide your attention. Plan to arrive approximately 10 minutes early so you have time to settle before we begin. Please avoid wearing perfume or bringing food into the reading space. Readings may not be recorded. You are welcome to take notes, and questions about the reading can be reviewed together afterward.

Q. Do I need to be concentrating on anything?
No. Intuitives are not mind readers. You do not need to concentrate on a particular thought, silently repeat a question, or try to project information. What helps most is simply being present and open to the process. Once the intention for a reading has been established, the work naturally tends to center around the relationships, circumstances, concerns, and patterns that are most relevant at that time.

Q. If I’m not happy with my reading, can I get my money back?
Every reading is different. Some will cover exactly what you came in wanting to explore, while others may move in an unexpected direction or bring forward information you weren’t anticipating. If we are unable to establish a connection, or it becomes clear that the reading simply isn’t working, the session will end and there will be no charge. Once a connection is established and the reading is underway, the session is considered a completed professional service. Not liking or agreeing with everything that comes through does not necessarily make the reading refundable. If something comes up during the reading that needs more time or clarification, we can decide together how best to proceed.

Q. Why charge for readings if intuitive ability is a gift?
The gift may be intuitive. The professional service surrounding it is not free.
A reading requires time, concentration, preparation, experience, and sustained attention. Practitioners also invest in continuing education, materials, tools, training, and the development of complementary modalities.
Rates vary considerably among practitioners and may reflect experience, training, session length, preparation, follow-up, business expenses, and individual pricing philosophy.
Base rates are intentionally kept accessible so that clients can experience this work without a significant financial commitment. Pricing reflects that philosophy and is not a reflection of experience or the value of the work.

Q. Are tarot and energy readings against my religion?
Different religious traditions, and people within the same tradition, have varied beliefs about tarot, divination, intuitive work, and other spiritual practices. This practice does not ask anyone to abandon, alter, or defend their religious beliefs.
Tarot and intuitive work are used here as tools for reflection, insight, pattern recognition, and connection with intuition. They are not intended to replace faith, prayer, clergy, spiritual direction, or an individual’s relationship with the divine. Whether these practices are compatible with a particular faith is ultimately a personal theological question. Clients should participate only if the work is consistent with their own beliefs and conscience.

Q. I’m a skeptic. Can I still have a reading?

Belief is not a prerequisite, and respectful skepticism is welcome. A reading does, however, require good-faith participation. There is a difference between being skeptical and approaching a practitioner with the intention of testing, tricking, challenging, or disproving them. “Prove it" "Guess what I’m thinking,” or deliberately withholding or falsifying information turns the session into a test rather than a reading.

Tarot and intuitive work can be enjoyable, but they are also sincere spiritual practices. Clients are contracting for professional time, training, attention, and a reading, not an audition or demonstration. If the purpose of the appointment is primarily to test or challenge the practitioner, the session may be declined or ended.
 

Q. How do I book a reading?

Readings are scheduled by appointment. When reaching out, please include the type of reading you’re interested in, whether you prefer to meet in person, by phone, or over Zoom, and a few days or times that generally work for you.  Appointments are not considered booked until the date, time, location or format, and session length have been agreed upon. If you’re unsure which type of reading to choose, that’s completely fine. A brief conversation beforehand can help determine which service makes the most sense for what you’re looking for.
 

Q. How does payment work?

Payment may be made by cash or Venmo and is due at the time of the reading. Gratuity is customary and is not included in the session price.
 

Q. What is the cancellation policy?

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is requested for cancellations or rescheduling. Multiple cancellations or rescheduled appointments will require a nonrefundable deposit to book a future reading. Pub bookings are prepaid in full. In the event of a no-show, 50% of the prepaid amount will be refunded, less the 2% Venmo processing fee.

Q. What is the expectation around tipping or compensation if my pub reading runs long?

Pub readings are $20 for 15 minutes. Sometimes a reading naturally runs a little long, and occasionally it runs considerably longer. There is no automatic overtime charge, and your practitioner will not “run the clock” simply to increase the cost of your reading.

That said, if you receive substantially more time than you booked, please compensate your reader accordingly. We have had 15-minute readings extend to 30 or even 45 minutes with no additional compensation or gratuity. While the extra time may be freely given in the moment, it should not be assumed to have no value. If your practitioner has given you a meaningful, extended reading, acknowledging that additional time through added compensation and/or gratuity is both customary and appreciated.
 

Q. Are you bound by a code of ethics?

Yes. This practice is guided by the principle of “harm none” — approaching the work with personal responsibility, respect for the client, and awareness of the potential impact of the information being shared. The practice is also informed by the Wiccan Rede and the principle of accountability reflected in the Threefold Law: that the energy and intention brought into the world carry consequences. These principles require honesty, discretion, appropriate boundaries, respect for free will, and an understanding that intuitive work should empower clients rather than create fear or dependency.
 

Q. What are readings not?

Readings are not guarantees of future events.

Intuitive work may identify patterns, possibilities, influences, and potential outcomes based on what is present at the time of the reading. Those possibilities can change as circumstances change and as people exercise free will and make different choices.

Readings are also not substitutes for medical care, mental-health treatment, legal advice, financial advice, or other licensed professional services.

Most importantly, ethical intuitive work should never create fear or dependency.
 

No ethical practitioner should tell you that you must continue paying for readings, rituals, cleansings, or other services in order to remove negative energy, break a curse, prevent catastrophe, or protect yourself from harm.
